My career has led to cutting with top agencies like Heat, The Martin Agency, Kuhl/Swaine, Saachi & Saachi, and Argonaut to tell stories for brands like Discover, Procter and Gamble, Allstate, Johnson & Johnson, Quicken Loans, Facebook, Instagram and Toyota. I cut from the gut, putting performance and tone first. To me, editing is the science of a thousand careful choices, picture and sound, to tell emotionally resonant stories.
I was born in Austin but grew up in the deep suburbs of central Florida. As soon as I got ahold of the family video camera, it wasn't long before I became a ninja of the VCR, where my editing origins began. In high school video class I explored the deck to deck video machine-- aka the Steenbeck of the 90s. I went to film school at the Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts, of which notable graduates include Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) and Wes Ball (Maze Runner franchise).
